STC manufactures transformers from 50 KVA to a capacity of 3150 KVA. The voltage rating varies from 2.4KV-36KV on the primary side whereas it is from 0-500V on the secondary side.
- Does
STC manufacture dry type / cast resin transformers?
STC does not manufacture cast resin / dry type transformers. However, the same can be supplied on request from our Principals.
- What
is the difference between hermetically sealed and conservator type
transformers?
The tank of a hermetically sealed transformer is made up of cooling fins (corrugated tank). The expansion of oil due to temperature / pressure increase in absorbed by elasticity of cooling fins and inert gas cushion.
The tank of a conservator type transformer is made up of radiators or pipes wherein the expansion of oil due to temperature / pressure increase is taken up by the conservator.
