Compact Sub-stations
- Applicable standards
The
unit sub-stations are generally manufactured according to IEC specifications.
State of art technology is used in the manufacturing process with high
quality material.
The sub-station consists of three major components. These are transformer, Ring Main Unit and LV panel, housed in a common compartment.
The LV panel consists of the outgoing or incoming circuit breakers as per requirements or both whereas the ring main unit can be either fused type (at the tee-off) or circuit breaker type.
The transformer is connected to the ring main unit either through cables or it is coupled directly with the help of small copper bars insulated by means of heat shrink termination. Elastimold bushings are used as the termination of both transformer and the RMU in case cable is used for connection.
LV panel is connected to the transformer by means of a bus duct or is directly coupled to the panel by means of bus bars as the case may be.

The most commonly used
ratings are 500kva, 1000kva, 1500kva, 1600kva, 2000kva, and 2500kva.

- Delivery
The sub-station can be delivered within four - five months from the date of firm order. However, exceptions apply and vary from case to case.
