Corporate Strengths

The Saudi Transformers Co. Ltd. has a modest beginning in 1982 when it started to produce distribution transformers at the rate of 4-6 transformers per day. Since then, there is no looking back. Over 50,000 transformers in the network in less than twenty years speak themselves of the growth that has been accomplished. Over this period, STC has improved in all aspects of transformer manufacturing viz., quality of the product, workmanship, deliveries etc. Furthermore, manufacturing of compact sub-stations and assembly that has so far been passing through slumber has been revitalized.

High Quality Material

STC has a policy of using the best available material for its transformers and compact sub-stations. The major material is imported mostly from Europe and the Far East. All accessories are imported from best manufacturer of that category. There are, however, some exceptions.

The exceptions however, are subjected to a rigorous procedure of “Approving New Material Supplier” before it can enter the “Approved Supplier list”. The procedure requires approval of a sub-supplier after extensive research / testing (if applicable) and trial use.

Production Capabilities

The Production Department is fully capable of manufacturing transformers of a wide variety, designs and ratings. Further, this department is fully geared up to manufacture compact sub-stations of all ratings (that falls within the general capacity of STC).

STC is equipped with the most modern state of the art machinery. CNC punching machine, new CNC bending machine, new HV coiling machines, and new LV coiling machine are just few examples.

In-House Development of Tools and Machinery-Industrial Engineering & Maintenance Department

Industrial engineering & Maintenance department is capable of over hauling all the machinery that is available in STC. Not only this, for new drying oven, and new test bench for the test bay, STC is indebted to the skill, workmanship and dedication of this department.

All efforts are undertaken to produce quality embedded products. Quality Assurance is not the sole responsibility of QA department. It is the responsibility of each individual involved in the process.

A strong Sales & Marketing department is one of the key elements of STC's success and growth. With its offices in the major cities within the kingdom, and a vast network of agents and representatives throughout the Gulf, Sales & Marketing department has always been able to meet the sales targets set by the board of directors each year. The credit of STC's success cannot go to a single individual, it is teamwork.
